Woman arrested in fatal stabbing of boyfriend in Hesperia

A Hesperia woman faces a murder charge in the fatal stabbing of her boyfriend over the weekend.

The stabbing happened at a home in the 8500 block of C Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday.

The suspect took a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim during an argument, according to a statement from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies responding to a call about a stabbing found the victim, Natanael Godinez, 28, of Hesperia. He died at a hospital.

“The reason for the argument is not being released, ” Gloria Huerta, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s department, said.

His girlfriend, Alexis Caprice Garcia, 31, of Hesperia, was arrested on suspicion of murder early Monday morning, booking records show.

As of Tuesday morning, Garcia was being held without bail at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga. She is scheduled to appear at Victorville Superior Court on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
