Wife finds husband dead from stab wounds at Pleasant Hill Park

(KRON) – A man was found dead at Pleasant Hill Park Friday night, the Pleasant Hill Police Department announced. 

Pleasant Hill PD was alerted to a report of an unconscious and unresponsive man found lying on the ground in the main parking lot of Pleasant Hill Park at approximately 4:50 a.m. on Feb. 10. 

Responding officers and medical personnel located the man and determined he was deceased. According to the investigation, the man sustained stab wounds.

The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Pittsburg resident Santiago Jacobo. 

Jacobo was a member of the janitorial staff that had been working at the park late on Friday night. 

Jacobo was found by his wife, who went to the park after he did not come home from his shift. She found him unresponsive and called 9-1-1. 

There are no suspects at this time.

The park is located at 147 Gregory Lane.
