Victorville woman killed in crash with big rig

A Victorville woman is dead after her vehicle collided with a semi-trailer truck late Tuesday night.

At 11:23 p.m., a gray Honda Civic driven by Esperanza Guerra, 44, and a red Freightliner Cascadia crashed into each other at Nisqualli Road and Sixth Avenue, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said in a news release.

Despite the lifesaving efforts of first responders, Guerra was declared dead at the scene.

The investigation closed Nisqualli Road between Seventh and Fourth avenues for several hours.

As of Wednesday morning, the cause of the crash has not been released.
