Truck catches fire on Highway 50 in Placerville

Eastbound traffic was delayed on Highway 50 in the Placerville area for a period on Monday afternoon after a truck caught fire. A lane at Spring Street was closed, causing delays for those heading through downtown Placerville, Caltrans said.The scene has since been cleared. See our traffic map. PLACERVILLE, Calif. —

Eastbound traffic was delayed on Highway 50 in the Placerville area for a period on Monday afternoon after a truck caught fire.

A lane at Spring Street was closed, causing delays for those heading through downtown Placerville, Caltrans said.

The scene has since been cleared.
