TO A PRETTY UNIQUE CUSTOMER BASE. THE FIRST ORDERS ARE UP. WE HAVE A RESTAURANT NOW. MANY OF THE NEW PIINT WORKS RESTAURANTS FIRST CUSTOMERS STARTING UP HERE CLIMBING AT PIPEWORKS GYM. THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS WAS TO BUILD A PLACE THAT YOU WOULD CONTINUE THE THE SOCIAL HANGOUT. YOU KNOW, CLIMBING, ESPECIALLY IN A GYM SETTING, IS OFTEN A SOCIAL ENDEAVOR. YOU’RE HANGING OUT WITH YOUR FRIENDS, CLIMBING AND TELLING STORIES AND TALKING AND CHATTING AND WE WANTED TO BUILD A PLACE TO CONTINUE THAT. THE PIPEWORKS CLIMBING GYM AND TOUCHSTONE BREWERY NOW HAVE THEIR OWN RESTAURANT ON SITE WITH PIINT WORKS, ALL THREE LOCATED TOGETHER IN SACRAMENTO’S CHANGING RIVER DISTRICT. IT’S BEEN REALLY GOOD. IT’S JUST BEEN KIND OF A SLOW RAMP UP AS WE OPENED UP AT 4:00, LETTING PEOPLE GET OFF WORK, GET FINISH UP WITH OUR WORKOUT. THE CAFETERIA STYLE BREW PUB HAS SANDWICHES, PIZZA AND OTHER FOOD OPTIONS ON THE MENU. THEIR OPERATING TIP LIST WITH THE TIP FOR THE TEAM BAKED RIGHT INTO THE MENU. PRICE. THE PRICE ON OUR MENU IS THE PRICE YOU’RE GOING TO PAY. WE PUT AN ALL INCLUSIVE OF TAX AS WELL. RYAN CAMPAGNA IS THE BREWMASTER AT TOUCHSTONE BREWING COMPANY. HE SAYS WHILE THE PANDEMIC SLOWED PLANS TO LAUNCH THEIR OWN KITCHEN, THEY’RE THRILLED TO REACH THIS MILESTONE. WEDNESDAY WITH THEIR OWN KITCHEN SERVING FOOD TO CLIMBERS, CUSTOMERS, FRIENDS AND FAMILY. IT’S JUST ALL PART OF OF THE HOPE THAT THE NEIGHBORHOOD GROWS AND WE HAVE A FUN TIME BEING WELL ROOTED HERE. A Sacramento rock climbing gym is growing, opening its own brewpub inside Touchstone Brewing Company at Sacramento Pipeworks Climbing and Fitness Gym.“We have a restaurant now,” said Ryan Campagna, brewmaster at Touchstone Brewing Company. The gym, brewery and restaurant are in Sacramento’s changing River District. The kitchen served its first orders to climbers and community members Wednesday afternoon.“The whole point of this was to build a place that you would continue the social hangout,” Campagna said. “Climbing, especially in a gym setting, is often a social endeavor. You’re hanging out you’re your friends, climbing and telling stories.”The cafeteria-style brewpub has sandwiches, pizza, and other food options on the menu. They’re operating tipless with the tip for the team baked into menu prices.Campagna said that while the pandemic slowed plans to launch their own kitchen, they were thrilled to celebrate the milestone opening on Wednesday.
