It’s no secret that Angelenos love their furry friends, but one dog breed ranks supreme as far as the City of Angels is concerned.

According to U.S. News, the most popular dog breed in Los Angeles is… the French bulldog.

Frenchies take the No. 1 spot in L.A. and ranked No. 2 nationally, according to a study conducted by the news outlet. French bulldogs are the most popular dog breeds in four of the major cities analyzed, including Las Vegas, Dallas and Washington D.C.

Nationally, the most popular dog breed was the chihuahua, which came in third place in Los Angeles.

The rankings from U.S. News differ slightly from those released by the American Kennel Club earlier this year. Not only was the top breed in L.A. still the French bulldog, AKC listed Frenchies as the most popular breed in all of the U.S.
