Police in San Bernardino County are investigating allegations that a teacher at a local private school had inappropriate contact with several female students over a three-year period and are seeking any additional victims, authorities announced Tuesday.

Investigators with the Redlands Police Department responded to the allegations on May 7 at Redlands Adventist Academy, located at 130 Tennessee Street, according to an RPD news release.

Police believe the unidentified male teacher has “inappropriately touched” at least five female students ranging in age from 14-17, with the most recent incident reported late last month.

Administrators at the Seventh-day Adventist K-12 school placed the teacher on administrative leave pending an internal investigation, police said.

Redlands Police Department is conducting a separate criminal investigation into the accusations.

Anyone who may have been a victim or has information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Redlands Police Department Detective Steve Truong at 909-798-7643.
