A man suspected of stealing at least one vehicle was arrested after a brief chase in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles early Friday morning.

According to Sky5 reporter Mike Case, the original theft occurred in Arleta around 6 a.m. and involved a gray SUV. After fleeing on the 210 Freeway, the suspect drove to a gas station where he hopped into a dark-colored BMW SUV, perhaps through a carjacking.

The suspect eventually hopped out of the SUV and fled on foot in the area of Glenoaks Boulevard in Pacoima.

After he jogged into a residential area, LAPD officers caught up with him near a business where he surrendered without incident.
