Sheriffs look for shooting suspect, set up perimeter in south Sacramento

Police set up a perimeter near the 7700 block of Southland Way in south Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, the detectives are assisting the California Highway Patrol in search of an armed shooting suspect. Police set up a perimeter near the 7700 block of Southland Way in south Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Sacramento Sheriff’s Office, the detectives are assisting the California Highway Patrol in search of an armed shooting suspect.

Officials said residents in the area were being evacuated.
