Authorities are investigating a collision between a Metro train and a small bus that occurred in Los Angeles late Tuesday morning.Â
According to preliminary information released by the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash occurred at 11:54 a.m. on Exposition Boulevard between Normandie Avenue and Figueroa Street near the campus of USC.
The train involved was a Metro E line train; part of the line, which goes from Santa Monica to East Los Angeles, runs along Exposition Boulevard.

The transport was reported to have at least two occupants at the time of the collision, KTLA 5’s Rich Prickett said, adding that they were both hospitalized, one with minor injuries and one with moderate injuries.
Multiple train passengers suffered injuries, LAFD confirmed. As many as nine people requested to be transported to hospitals with minor injuries, Prickett said, while about 15 were seen being treated at the scene.
There will be no service on the Metro E line between the Expo/Vermont station and the Jefferson/USC station for an unknown duration due to the crash, Metro announced on social media.
