LINDEN, Calif. — A Lockeford man died early Wednesday morning after crashing into a tractor pulling a sprayer.
CHP says a John Deere pulling a sprayer was heading westbound on Comstock Road at 25 mph.
A 2007 Chevy Silverado driven by a 59-year-old man from Lockeford was also going westbound when he collided with the left rear of the tractor.
The Silverado flipped and came to rest on the dirt shoulder. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The tractor driver was uninjured.
CHP says neither driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. It’s unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor.
