SO IF YOU WERE TO COME OFF THE SOUTHBOUND OFF RAMP TO RIVERSIDE AND 43RD, THIS IS RIGHT TO THE RIGHT, AND YOU WILL SEE ALL THE FLASHING LIGHTS HERE AS THIS SHOOTING INVESTIGATION IS UNDERWAY. STILL AWAITING A LITTLE MORE DETAIL FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT AS TO THE VICTIM HERE AND WHAT EXACTLY TRANSPIRED TO AS PART OF THIS SHOOTING INVESTIGATION, HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED THOSE DETAILS, BUT I CAN TELL YOU THAT AT LEAST FOR THOSE MORNING COMMUTERS ON RIVERSIDE, YOU’RE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND AN ALTERNATE WAY TO ACCESS I-5 THAN GETTING ON AT RIVERSIDE ROAD AS THE EASTBOUND LANES HERE REMAINS SHUT DOWN AS PART OF THIS INVESTIGATION. Sacramento police investigating shooting near 43rd Avenue

A police shooting investigation was underway early Monday morning near Johnfer Way and 43rd Avenue in Greenhaven.Officers with the Sacramento Police Department were reported on scene before 5:23 a.m. The roadway in the vicinity was closed off and drivers were asked to seek alternative routes. It was unclear if anyone was injured. No arrests have been announced at this time. This is a developing story. Stay with KCRA 3 for the latest.
