Sacramento Police investigate suspicious death

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Sacramento Police are investigating after discovering a man dead Sunday morning, officers said.

According to police, officers found a man with significant trauma around 8:11 a.m. Sunday lying partially in the roadway at 32nd Street and V Street/ W Street Alley. Firefighters pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Homicide detectives took over the investigation and were processing the scene, interviewing witnesses and canvassing the area Sunday.

Officials have classified the investigation as a suspicious death investigation until more information is released by the coroner’s office. 

People with information are asked to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-808-5471. Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers is accepting tips related to the case at 916-443-4357. 

Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
