Sacramento fire crews search for person of interest in multiple nuisance fires

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Firefighters in Sacramento are searching for a person of interest allegedly seen near the scene of multiple nuisance fires. 

The fires happened late Friday night and early Saturday morning in the area of Florin Road and Stockton Boulevard, Sacramento Metro Fire District said.

Some more fires were also allegedly reported within a homeless encampment on Orange Avenue. Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies and firefighters identified a man seen in the area of each of the fires.

According to officials, the fires are classified as arson. Anyone with information on the fires or the man’s whereabouts is asked to call investigators at 916-859-3775.
