Sacramento County fire kills 1, injures 2 more

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — One person died and two more were taken to the hospital after a fire in Sacramento County late Saturday night, according to the Sacramento Fire Department. 

The fire happened in the area of 44th Street and Fruitridge Road around 10 p.m., according to officials. They said they were called to the area about a “heavy fire to front of home.” 

Once on scene, officials found one person who said they got out of the home and denied medical attention. Fire fighters then found one person dead and two more with unknown injuries inside the home. Those two victims have been taken to the hospital in unknown conditions. 

The victims ages and conditions are unknown at this time. An arson investigation is ongoing.  No other details are available at this time.
