One dead after crash on Highway 99 near Turlock

A 26-year-old man died in a crash on Highway 99 near Turlock on Tuesday, California Highway Patrol said.Officials said a collision involving two vehicles was reported on the southbound highway at approximately 9:40 a.m. According to CHP, the 26-year-old was driving at a high speed when he attempted to pass another vehicle on the left and struck the vehicle.
