Modesto man identified as the person killed after ‘verbal argument’ Friday

Officials say they were called to the 400 block of Kerr Avenue just after 3 p.m. Friday on reports of a “verbal argument and shots fired.”

MODESTO, Calif. — The has identified the man killed following a confrontation as 46-year-old Bryan Tenbrink.

Law enforcement says Tenbrink was fatally shot in Modesto Friday afternoon.

Officials say they were called to the 400 block of Kerr Avenue just after 3 p.m. Friday on reports of a “verbal argument and shots fired.” 

A bystander put the victim in their car and drove them to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

UPDATE: The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department has announced the identity of the victim from Friday’s homicide on Kerr Ave in the Airport District. Modesto resident Bryan Tenbrink, 46, was fatally wounded by gunfire. The investigation is still active & ongoing.
