Man shot to death Tuesday morning in Sunnyvale

SUNNYVALE – A man was shot to death early Tuesday morning in Sunnyvale, authorities said.

Several gunshots were reported shortly after midnight in the 100 block of South Bernardo Avenue, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said in a news release.

Officers arrived to find the victim inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man received medical aid at the scene and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. He has not yet been publicly identified.

Authorities on Tuesday did not announce any arrests or release a description of the suspect.

An investigation is underway into the fatal shooting.
