Officials say they were called to the 400 block of Kerr Avenue just after 3 p.m. on reports of a “verbal argument and shots fired.”

A bystander put the victim in their car and drove them to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Officials say he’s a man in his mid-thirties.

Officials are investigating and will have the area blocked off for a number of hours.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged by officials to contact them at 209-525-7117 or 1-866-60-CRIME. No other information is available at this time.
