Man shot, killed in Fair Oaks

FAIR OAKS, Calif. — One person is dead after a shooting in Fair Oaks Friday night.

The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said deputies initially responded to the 4900 block of Hillridge Way just before 11 p.m. for a man reportedly injured and bleeding. When deputies arrived, they found the man unresponsive with a severe head injury.

First responders ultimately pronounced him dead at the scene.

Deputies said the man’s injury appeared to be from a gunshot wound. The shooting is being investigated as a homicide. The victim hasn’t been identified at this time.
