Man shot, killed in Ceres home invasion, police say

CERES, Calif. — A man was shot and killed in Ceres early Saturday morning, prompting an investigation by police.

The Ceres Police Department says they were called to the 2700 block of Roeding Road about a home invasion robbery around 3:30 a.m. A 63-year-old man was found in the living room of the home with a gunshot to his chest. 

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to officials. 

An investigation is ongoing and no suspect information has been released at this time. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged by police to call them at 209-538-5616.
