Man killed in Stockton shooting early Sunday morning, police say

Police say around 1:30 a.m. officers responded to the 6200 block of N Pershing Ave for a report of a person shot. Once on scene, a 22-year-old man was found shot. First responders arrived on scene but the man was pronounced dead. 

Police say homicide detectives are currently looking into the shooting. 

The name of the man shot was not released and it’s not known what led up to the shooting.
