Man injured after hit-and-run in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man was injured in a hit-and-run Friday in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department said a pedestrian was hit near 16th and V streets. The man was taken to a hospital with significant injuries. The vehicle that hit the person wasn’t there when officers arrived.

Sacramento police said 16th Street was closed between V to U Street, but has since reopened. Officers are investigating the crash.
