A man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition after a shooting in Linda on Thursday, and the suspect was apprehended after a police pursuit, according to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office.The shooting happened around 3:15 p.m. on Remington Way. The sheriff’s office said a neighbor heard gunshots and a man yelling for help. She went to the neighbor and found that he had been shot.The victim was taken to Rideout Hospital in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.Officials said witnesses provided the suspect description, including a vehicle. Deputies found the suspect, who drove away, prompting a police pursuit. The pursuit lasted for around 10 minutes.The sheriff’s office said the suspect eventually crashed near Erle Road, east of Griffith Avenue and was taken into custody.Officials have not provided more information on the suspect or what led up to the shooting.This is a developing story.
