Man found dead in overturned car after driving through flooded road

According to the California Highway Patrol, police responded to an overturned white Ford along Nicholaus Road, near Marcum Road, around 7:30 a.m.

Police believe the driver was heading westbound along the roadway and drove through standing water on a flooded roadway before losing control and overturning.

The car ultimately came to a stop in standing water on its top. The fire department turned the car over and tried to treat the driver, but the driver was already dead.
