Man dead after overnight crash in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A man is dead after an overnight crash in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Police Department said the crash happened Friday around 3 a.m. The two-vehicle crash happened near Marconi Avenue and Roseville Road, according to police.

When they arrived, officers found a vehicle that went off the road, rolled, and hit a power pole. The driver died at the scene. His identity hasn’t been released and police only identified him as a man.

The second vehicle stayed in the area and there were no reported injuries. It’s unclear how the second car was involved in the crash.

The crash is under investigation. Roseville Road near Marconi Avenue will be closed while police investigate.
