Man arrested for 2019 Tracy homicide extradited to US

Investigators say the victim and her alleged killer knew each other but didn’t say how.

TRACY, Calif. — A man wanted for a 2019 homicide in Tracy is back in the United States after being arrested in Mexico.

According to Tracy Police, Antonio Flores-Cuellar was arrested Dec. 21, 2023, in Mexico. He was wanted for the 2019 shooting death of Andrea Cervantes in Tracy.

Flores-Cuellar was extradited back to the United States on Friday.

CASE HISTORY

Andrea Cervantes, 18, was found dead in an apartment on Carlton Way back in June 2019.

Investigators say the victim and Flores-Cuellar knew each other but didn’t say exactly how.

In 2019 neighbors told ABC10 the 18-year-old victim recently moved into the apartment and wasn’t from the area.
