Stockton Police Department officials say 50-year-old Christopher Bailey was identified as a suspect in the suspicious death after investigators found out the 66-year-old victim was in an “altercation” with the suspect. Bailey allegedly robbed a business in the 100 block of S Center Street around 8:18 a.m., police say.

Bailey was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on suspicion of robbery and homicide charges.

It’s unclear how the victim died and the investigation remains ongoing.
