Man, 25, dead after shooting in Stockton’s park district, police say

STOCKTON, Calif. — A man was killed Saturday in Stockton after a shooting, authorities said.

Officers with the Stockton Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the city’s park district near East Park Street and North Sierra Nevada Street, according to a department news release.

Upon arrival, police said they located a 25-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.

Detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
