Jorge Cortes-Bejar identified as victim in Lodi area shooting

LODI, Calif. — A person killed near Lodi Monday night was identified as Jorge Cortes-Bejar, 27 of Stockton.

The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed his identity with ABC10 Tuesday night.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the shooting along the 6000 block of East Pine Street around 10 p.m. and found Cortes-Bejar dead.

It’s not clear what led up to the shooting.
