RIGHT NOW, DOZENS OF PEOPLE ARE ON A THREE DAY, 350 MILE PILGRIMAGE TO REMEMBER THE THOUSANDS OF JAPANESE AMERICANS KEPT IN CAMPS DURING WORLD WAR TWO, AND THIS GROUP ARE DESCENDANTS OF SURVIVORS, COMMUNITY LEADERS AND YOUNG PEOPLE. AND TODAY THEY LAUGH FROM THE BUDDHIST CHURCH OF FLORIN IN SACRAMENTO COUNTY. THE CHURCH WAS WHERE HUNDREDS OF JAPANESE AMERICANS LEARNED THEY WOULD BE FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES AND BE IMPRISONED, AND IT’S ALSO REALLY IMPORTANT FOR COALITION BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE.
