Fire reported at lithium battery plant in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. – Oakland Fire is responding to a fire, where a large tower of dark smoke is visible. 

Oakland Fire says it’s responding to a single fire at a lithium battery plant, but didn’t disclose the location.

As of 3:30 p.m., two engines have responded. 

No injuries have been reported at this time.
