Family and friends honor Elk Grove teenager who was shot and killed in Colorado

Dozens of family and friends gathered at the Sunshine Event Center in Elk Grove to honor the life of the 14-year-old shot and killed in Colorado last April. Francisco “Cisco” Lacqui was raised in Elk Grove. His family told KCRA 3 he had just moved to Lakewood, Colorado, 10 months before the shooting. “He would always bring light to the room,” said his sister Jennalyn Mojica. “He was really into his boxing, and he loved being around his family.”Mojica said Lacqui began boxing at a very young age and was well-known within the boxing community in the area. With pictures and balloons his loved ones gathered to say one last goodbye. “Shows how much people loved him as a person and how much people cared for him,” Mojica said. Lakewood police said the shooting happened after an altercation at a party on the morning of April 13.
