FAIR OAKS, Calif. — A woman was found dead under a tree in her own backyard Tuesday as a result of a recent winter storm.

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office described the woman as being 63-years-old, but didn’t release her name. The coroner’s office said identification and next of kin notifications are still ongoing.

Officials say she was found under a large fallen tree in the backyard of her Fair Oaks home.

Few details surrounding the incident have been released, but the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said they responded to the medical emergency around 11 a.m.
