THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE UPDATE. WE’RE ALSO FOLLOWING BREAKING NEWS IN SACRAMENTO. POLICE SAY A CHILD WAS HURT AFTER FALLING FROM A FOURTH STORY WINDOW. LIVECOPTER3 CAPTURING THIS EXCLUSIVE VIDEO OF OFFICERS AT WORK. POLICE WERE CALLED TO THE COMPLEX ON PROMENADE CIRCLE IN NATOMAS JUST AFTER 6:00 TONIGHT. KCRA 3’S LEE ANNE DENYER IS RIGHT NOW. SO, LIANE, HAVE YOU LEARNED IF THAT CHILD IS OKAY TONIGHT? YEAH, JUST WITHIN THE LAST FEW MINUTES. WE DID GET AN UPDATE FROM THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT. THEY TOLD US THAT THE CHILD DID SUFFER SIGNIFICANT INJURIES, BUT WE’RE TOLD THAT HE IS STABLE AND EXPECTED TO SURVIVE. I WAS TALKING WITH A COUPLE OF THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE AT THIS COMPLEX. THEY SAID THAT THEY HEARD SCREAMING BEFORE THEY REALIZED THAT A CHILD HAD FALLEN OUT OF THE WINDOW, AND THEY CAME. OTHER PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN THE BUILDING COMING TO SEE JUST SOMETHING TRULY HORRIFIC. I WANT TO SHOW YOU WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE A SHORT TIME AGO, WHEN THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT WAS STILL HERE. WE WERE OVERHEAD IN LIVECOPTER3 THREE, ABLE TO GET A GLIMPSE OF THIS SCENE. OF COURSE, A LOT OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS AT THIS POINT AS TO HOW EXACTLY THAT THIS HAPPENED. BUT THE SACRAMENTO POLICE DEPARTMENT DID SAY IT WAS ABOUT 6:00 WHEN THEY RECEIVED A CALL FOR FOR MEDICAL HELP AFTER A CHILD FELL FROM THE FOURTH STORY WINDOW. WE DO KNOW THAT THAT IS A LITTLE BOY AGAIN, POLICE SAYING THAT WHILE HE WAS BADLY HURT, HE IS EXPECTED TO BE OKAY. A young boy is injured after falling from a fourth-story window in Natomas, according to the Sacramento Police Department.Crews responded to an apartment complex on Promenade Circle near North Freeway Boulevard just after 6 p.m.The police department said the boy was alert and conscious before he was taken to a hospital for treatment. Officials said the child had significant injuries, but is expected to survive.Police are investigating what led up to the fall.This is a developing story. Crews responded to an apartment complex on Promenade Circle near North Freeway Boulevard just after 6 p.m.
