Child in hospital after falling from 4th story window in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A child was taken to a hospital after falling from a fourth story window in Sacramento Thursday.

The Sacramento Police Department said officers responded for a medical aid call at an apartment complex along the 100 block of Promenade Circle just after 6 p.m.

Police said the child was alert and conscious when being taken to the hospital with significant injuries. The child is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
