Center High School sophomore identified in deadly Tower Bridge stabbing

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A teenager killed in a deadly stabbing at West Sacramento’s Tower Bridge was identified Thursday.

“This loss is particularly poignant as the student has been with our district for many years, growing alongside peers and forming lasting bonds with teachers and staff throughout their educational journey. Our community is deeply affected, and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and all who knew the student,” the district said in a statement.

The stabbing happened on Saturday, April 20. Around 5:15 p.m., officers with the responded to reports of a person bleeding at the Tower Bridge. Officers found a person with multiple stab wounds who later died at the scene. Police said a fight happened before the stabbing. 

The stabbing is under investigation.
