The California Capitol building is lit up in red Thursday night. The light honors the memory of missing and murdered Indigenous people.Ahead of nightfall, hundreds gathered to hold a candlelight vigil on the west steps, including First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom.The observance highlighted the disproportionate case numbers of violence against Native Americans.
