SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — Six people were rescued from a burning boat on Sunday in north Lake Tahoe.
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office said it got reports of a boat fire around 1:50 p.m. near Cedar Flat. Six people were on the boat and were rescued by the U.S. Coast Guard. There were no major injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
The fire was put out, but the boats’s hull was too damaged and the boat sank. It’s unclear how the fire started. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
