2 injured in Sacramento County rollover crash, CHP says DUI suspected

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. — A rollover crash suspected to be caused by DUI in Sacramento County left two people injured Saturday evening, according to California Highway Patrol officials. 

The crash happened on Ione and Claypit roads around 5 p.m. CHP officials say the driver is suspected to have been drunk driving, causing the van to veer off the road, hit a power pole and flip. 

Both the driver and passenger sustained moderate injuries and were airlifted to the hospital, according to officials. 

CHP says the driver was arrested for felony DUI.

The road was partially closed as officials worked to repair the knocked over power pole. No other information is available. 

Crews responded for a vehicle rollover with 2 patients. 1 patient required extrication and was transported by air ambulance in critical condition, another transported by ground ambulance.
