2 hurt in downtown Stockton shooting

STOCKTON, Calif. — A Saturday morning shooting in downtown Stockton left two people hurt, the city’s police department said.

Officers say they got to the scene of the shooting around 9:51 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of E Flora Street. At the scene, officials say they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Medics took the man to the hospital in an unknown condition. Soon after, police say they found a second man who had been shot in the same area. Medic also took him to a hospital. His condition is unknown.

Police have not released information about the shooter, motive or what led up to the violence. Officials say the investigation is ongoing.
