2 arrested in connection to year-old Tracy homicide case

TRACY, Calif. — Two people were arrested in connection to the deadly shooting of Khyrei Currie in Tracy last year.

The Tracy Police Department said Currie was killed April 23, 2023 at McDonald Park.

Eventually, Juan Santos, 24 of Tracy, and Adrian Darbison, 18 of Manteca, were identified as suspects, and on May 14, police served warrants at homes along the 2900 block of North MacArthur Drive, 1500 block of Sephos Street in Manteca, 1900 block of Darrah Street in Ceres and the 1000 block of West 9th Street.

Santos was arrested in Tracy and Darbison in Manteca. Both were arrested on suspicion of murder and conspiracy and booked into the county jail.
