2 arrested for DUI during Friday’s checkpoint in east Bakersfield: CHP

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The California Highway Patrol has released statistics from the checkpoint conducted at Niles Street and Crestmont Drive Friday night.

CHP officers said 397 vehicles were screened during the sobriety and driver license checkpoint on Feb. 16.

Officers conducted five DUI evaluations and arrested two drivers for driving under the influence of alcohol, their vehicles were later stored by CHP. 14 drivers were also cited for driving without a license and one vehicle was impounded, according to CHP.
