14-year-old arrested, 1 hospitalized after alleged stolen car crash in Elk Grove

ELK GROVE, Calif. — One person was taken to the hospital after they were hit by the driver of a stolen car in Elk Grove, police said.

According to the Elk Grove Police department, a 14-year-old was driving a stolen car westbound on Laguna Boulevard and hit another car around 9:18 p.m. near Franklin Boulevard. 

Police said the 14-year-old was being chased by police before the crash happened. Elk Grove police said the14-year-old was ultimately arrested.

The driver of the car that was hit was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
