WE DO HAVE SOME BREAKING NEWS FOR YOU RIGHT NOW. IT’S IN LODI, WHERE POLICE ARE ON THE SCENE OF A DEADLY SHOOTING, AND THEY HAVE BEEN SINCE LATE LAST NIGHT. IT HAPPENED ON EAST PINE STREET AROUND 10 P.M. KCRA 3’S. MELANIE WINGO HAS BEEN THERE FOR MOST OF THE MORNING AND JOINS US WITH WHERE THE INVESTIGATION CURRENTLY STANDS. GOOD MORNING. WELL, JUST WITHIN THE LAST 20 MINUTES OR SO, INVESTIGATORS DID WRAP UP THEIR WORK HERE AT THE SCENE AND THEY ARE NO LONGER AT THIS LOCATION. BUT WE DO HAVE SOME VIDEO TO SHOW YOU FROM WHEN WE FIRST ARRIVED HERE OUT IN LODI AT THIS SITE, WE ARE JUST OFF THE PROPERTY OF RIVER MADE TRADING COMPANY HERE IN LODI, AND THE SHERIFF’S OFFICE DISPATCHERS TELL KCRA 3 THAT THEY STARTED RECEIVING CALLS LAST NIGHT AROUND 10:00 FROM PEOPLE HAVING REPORTS HEARING GUNSHOTS IN THIS AREA. WHEN DEPUTIES ARRIVED, THEY FOUND ONE PERSON DEAD AT THE SCENE. THAT PERSON’S IDENTITY OR HOW THEY DIED. IT’S NOT CLEAR THIS MORNING. WE’RE ALSO WAITING TO LEARN HOW THE PERSON MIGHT HAVE BEEN CONNECTED TO THIS PARTICULAR BUSINESS. RIVER MADE TRADING COMPANY IS PART OF WHAT APPEARS TO BE A LARGE INDUSTRIAL AREA, WHICH SITS ACROSS THE STREET FROM SOME ORCHARD LAND. THERE ARE SOME HOMES IN THIS AREA, BUT IT’S NOT DENSELY POPULATED WITH HOMES ACROSS FROM THIS BUSINESS OR THIS INDUSTRIAL AREA. AND BACK OUT HERE LIVE AGAIN. INVESTIGATORS NO LONGER AT THIS SCENE, BUT WE DO HAVE SOME CALLS IN TO THE SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE AND AS SOON AS WE GET MORE INFORMATION FROM THE FOLKS THERE WHO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO THE MEDIA, WE WILL BRING THAT TO YOU. A person was found fatally wounded Monday night in Lodi at the scene of a possible shooting, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said. The sheriff’s office received calls around 10 p.m. from people reportedly hearing gunshots near Rivermaid Trading Company on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, deputies found one person fatally wounded. It was unclear if the person was connected to the business or how exactly they died. A person was found fatally wounded Monday night in Lodi at the scene of a possible shooting, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office said.

The sheriff’s office received calls around 10 p.m. from people reportedly hearing gunshots near Rivermaid Trading Company on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, deputies found one person fatally wounded.

It was unclear if the person was connected to the business or how exactly they died.
