1 dead after shooting in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. — A man died after a shooting in Stockton Monday morning.

The Stockton Police Department said the shooting was reported along the 1200 block of East Hammer Lane around 10:15 a.m.

The shooting victim was described as a 29-year-old man. He was taken to a hospital, but he ultimately died from his injuries.

It’s not clear what led up to the shooting, and no suspect information has been released.
