Crews with the Los Angeles Fire Department worked to clear an Amazon delivery truck precariously stuck in loose, muddy soil on the side of a hill that was threatening at least one home below it.

Firefighters responded to a call about the technical rescue at 4307 W. Rose Hill Drive just before 8 p.m. Monday evening, according to LAFD.

It is unclear exactly how the Amazon truck got stuck on the road, but authorities said the driver was able to safely exit the vehicle.

Video of the scene captured by Sky5 showed the massive truck, with packages still inside its cargo hold, as crews were working to secure it to nearby metal railings.

First responders with the United States Army Reserve worked in cooperation with LAFD, and had planned to use heavy equipment to try and bring the vehicle to street level, officials said.

According to Sky5 reporter Gil Leyvas, rescuers were opting to safely secure the delivery truck overnight and have the vehicle towed in safer circumstances.

No injuries were reported.
