As the records clerk, I am responsible for requesting all medical and billing records from our facilities. I periodically call to confirm contact information such as addresses and fax numbers or to request any additional information needed by our clients. I also send follow-up emails to request any missing medical or billing documentation. I document each client interaction and correspondence in our records management system. Additionally, I initiate all claims with Medi-Cal and Kaiser Permanente.

Providing and receiving performance feedback is invaluable for professional growth and development. Feedback on mistakes allows for self-improvement and ensures issues are not repeated. Explaining processes to others who may be unfamiliar helps achieve goals seamlessly. Recently, I was able to onboard new colleagues efficiently by demonstrating a new system and setting up user accounts based on learnings from prior feedback.

In my personal time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. On Sundays, we typically go swimming at a nearby lake, where I have been teaching my young daughter how to swim and speak English.

Some of my interests include creating video content for social media platforms, learning new languages (I am currently studying Portuguese), and teaching my daughter new skills like American Sign Language and the English language.

One of my travel goals is to visit Spain in the coming years. I have been fascinated by Spanish culture and destinations since childhood. With any luck, my family and I will have the opportunity to experience all that Spain has to offer in the near future.
