Stephen Lockard Esq. | Litigation Attorney

Stephen Lockard is a litigation attorney at J&Y Law, where he represents plaintiffs in personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and serious bodily injury. He is committed to securing full and fair compensation for injured clients through strategic case development, aggressive negotiation, and, when necessary, trial advocacy. Before joining J&Y Law, Stephen was an attorney at Goodkin Law Group, where his practice centered on commercial and residential lease disputes, construction-related claims, and complex transactional matters. Prior to that, he spent nearly three years at defense litigation firm WSHB, where he handled a wide range of cases involving professional liability, construction defect, habitability, and insurance coverage disputes. His time on the defense side gives him unique insight into how opposing parties evaluate and approach litigation, which he now leverages for the benefit of his injured clients. Stephen earned his J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2018. While in law school, he interned with the Fulton County Metro Conflict Defender’s Office and the nonprofit organization Rehabilitation Enables Dreams, which focuses on reducing recidivism among first-time, non-violent offenders. He also served as a mediator for the Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program, where he helped resolve a wide range of property disputes. Stephen brings to his practice a reputation for thoughtful strategy, persuasive advocacy, and a solutions-oriented approach to even the most challenging cases. In his free time, Stephen enjoys playing and watching sports, cooking, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with his family.
