[02-19-2026] Los Angeles County – Ambulance Crash Near LAX Leaves 2 LAPD Officers, Firefighter, and 23-Year-Old Woman Injured

Los Angeles, California — Four people were hospitalized Wednesday night after an ambulance transporting a patient was involved in a collision near Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), according to authorities. 

The crash occurred near the intersection of Manchester Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard while two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers were escorting the ambulance carrying a patient. Officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) confirmed that the collision involved the ambulance and another vehicle under circumstances that remain under investigation. 

As a result of the incident, two LAPD officers, an LAFD firefighter, and a 23-year-old woman sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Authorities reported that all four individuals suffered minor injuries. 

Emergency responders quickly dispatched a second ambulance to the scene to ensure the original patient being transported at the time of the crash was safely taken to the hospital without further delay. 

Officials have not released additional details regarding the cause of the collision as investigations into the incident continue.
